Easy Manicure: how I do my nails
I get questions about my manicure all the time, so today I want to show you step by step what I need to do it and how I go about it.
First, I file the nails with the professional file from our file set in shape. Personally, I prefer to wear the nails short, but of course you can do as you like. Allowed is what pleases. With the rougher side I shorten the nails, with the slightly finer side I smooth the nail edges.
Now the polishing file comes into play. I gently clean the nail with the pink side. The special coating of the polishing file gently removes small residues, as well as bumps and discolorations.
Now I polish the nails with the white side of the polishing file. The smooth nail surface also allows nail polish to be applied more evenly and looks more even and therefore more beautiful.
With the glass file I dry up the nails, which reduces nail breakage. Even painted nails can be easily filed or touched up without chipping the nail polish.
I clean and degrease the nails, for this I use a nail cleaner, but you can also simply wash the nails with a soap that is not re-lubricating. Please do not use disinfectant or nail polish remover, the alcohol contained therein or any other substance can react with the nail polish and then bubbles appear.
Now I apply our Top & Base Coat Elly. It dries quickly and is the optimal preparation for any manicure. The base coat simplifies the application of the color lacquer and at the same time increases the durability. The color is fixed and chipping is prevented. Those who have very uneven nails can also use our plant-based ridge filler Anabell, it evens out grooves and irregularities in the nail plate and gives the nails a more even surface. This makes the nails look wonderfully smooth and even.
Next comes the color varnish. I always apply two thin layers, waiting a few minutes in between. Here you have to test out depending on the lacquer something, how thick the layers must be and how long you have to wait between the steps.
As a top coat I use Carla, our ultra-shiny top coat with gel effect. Due to the special super-dry formula, the lacquer dries extremely quickly and provides a long shelf life of up to 10 days. Really apply the top coat over the entire color lacquer, otherwise there may be edges. Please do not use a pure base coat as a top coat. The pure base coat contains adhesion promoters and is therefore totally unusable as a top coat.
Step 9:
Finally, I care for the cuticles with our organic nail oil made from sunflower seeds. Sunflower oil contains a lot of vitamin E and has a proportion of unsaturated fatty acids over 50%. Therefore, it is absorbed slowly and is therefore particularly suitable for dry nails and cuticles.
